Grade 5 & 6 Meets one 30 minute recess, per school, per cycle
Elementary Band conducted on a voluntary basis, per student and parental sign ups. It is a continuation of the 4, 5, 6 grade Elementary Instrumental Lessons. Elementary Band provides the students with the opportunity to further their musicianship in a full ensemble setting. Elementary Band performs two concert each academic year (December and April/May time frame). Students that sign up for Elementary are expected to attend weekly rehearsals, as well as the full day rehearsals prior to each concert. Students are encouraged to practice concert music outside of the classroom, in order to provide a better learning opportunity within the ensemble setting.
